Inspired by:
Elizabeth Swann's Gold dress from Pirates of the Caribbean.
I actually finished this one awhile ago, but our camera was broken. Hence the delay.
The bodice is in the same off-white taffeta from Joann's as the contrast skirt. I layered it with coffee-dyed lace and "pearls".
The fabric was such a find!
The sleeves also feature a fun ruffle of the main fabric, cut away in front to reveal more coffee-dyed lace.
I love this dress-my fave costume to date!

p.s. In this shoot, our 18th century Miss Elizabeth Swann is reading Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. So historically accurate ;)
Nice job!
