My local Joann Fabrics is moving to a new location, about a block away. However, they're having a liquidation sale to get rid of their current stock. This really makes no sense, but on my part, I'm excited! Why?
I SAVED $200!!!!
.... and furthermore, I only spent $13!!!!! WOW!!!!!
Their hugest sale was their pattern sale. Simplicity patterns were $1.99, which was OK... but their Butterick, Vogue, and Mcall's patterns were 4 for $1!!!!!!!!!!
As you can imagine, people were stocking up. I got 8, but there was this one gal that had a whole cartload!
So, here are my top fave patterns I picked up:
Vogue 2979
This is a vintage pattern repro (1956) by Vogue. I love the interesting yoke and pin tucks!
Vogue 1094
This is from 1955. I've wanted to get this pattern for about three years now!
Vogue 2979
This looks so much like Grace Kelly's dress-- not quite sure yet what I'll use it for, but for 25 cents, may as well have it in the stash!
MCall's 5444
This overall design is very similar to Danielle's "Breathe" dress in Ever After! On my must sew list. Would be nice for Medieval/Renaissance plays.
I bought another four just to have in the stash--a wrap dress pattern (a la Kate Middleton), a dress pattern with a waist band I love, and a few more...
...all for $2!
This is such a great site! I like the way you set this up! Great content and images as well! Thanks for sharing this!...Daniel
